Parish Councils will often make comments on an application for a site. There comments are only advisory – that means that if they oppose the application, it does not automatically mean it will be refused. You are able to attend a Parish Council meeting where your application is being discussed, and you might be given the opportunity to speak in support of it, which can be a good way of helping the councillors understand your case. However, you do not have to do this.
